Your Own Piece of Diamond Lake

Step off the dock and into some of the clearest water in Ontario. Diamond Lake is spring-fed — no murky water, no weeds, just a sandy bottom you can see from the surface. The dock sits in 5 to 7 feet at the end, deep enough to jump from, shallow enough for kids to wade near shore.

Mornings are calm and glassy — perfect for an early paddle before anyone else is up. By afternoon the lake comes alive. Canoe, paddleboat, two SUPs, and fishing rods are all yours. Diamond Lake has lake trout, brook trout, bass, and the rare splake — ask any local and they'll tell you the fishing here is serious.

Outside is where you'll spend your time

The deck wraps the back of the cottage with full forest and lake views — dining table, wicker chairs, and a BBQ ready to go. Two sets of stairs lead down to the water. Mornings out here with a coffee are hard to beat.

The yard slopes gently to the waterfront where the firepit sits right at the lake's edge. There's a hammock strung between the trees halfway down — the kind of spot where afternoons disappear. Evenings around the fire under a full Ontario sky are what people come back for.

Inside — modern, bright and fully equipped

Open-concept kitchen and dining with pine ceilings and big windows letting the lake light in. The kitchen has everything you need — full appliances, dishwasher, and a Keurig to start your mornings right. Dining table seats 8, with the deck just steps through the patio door. Downstairs, a second lounge area with walkout to the yard — two separate spaces so the group never feels on top of each other.

Sleeping for 8 — everyone has their own space

Bedroom 1 — Main floor · Double bed · bright and airy
Bedroom 2 — Lower floor · Queen bed
Bedroom 3 — Lower floor · 2× bunk beds · perfect for kids
Bonus · 2× pull-out couches · sleeps 4 more

Towels and sheets not provided — please bring your own. We have matress and pillow covers as well as blankets and duvets.

Algonquin country — and skies you won't forget

Far enough from the city that the night sky actually shows up. Northern Lights visible from the dock on clear nights if you are lucky 🙂 — guests have captured some incredible shots right here on Diamond Lake. Bancroft is 20 minutes for groceries and dinner & Haliburton is about 35 minutes. Algonquin Park is located only 20 minutes from the cottage, though if you would like to drive into the park it is about and hour away for a full day of hiking and wildlife. Eagan chutes, Eagles nest and other beautiful natural sites are located in the area and just a short drive away
